This privacy policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit this website or purchase the book Before You Touch Your Salary, and the rights you hold over that data. The website is operated by the seller of the book. For every matter concerning your data, contact [email protected].

1. Data we process. We process three limited categories of data. First, order data: when you purchase the book, we receive confirmation of your payment and the email address linked to your order, which are required to open your access and issue your receipt. Second, correspondence: if you write to us, we hold your email address and the content of your message for as long as needed to assist you. Third, technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses and request data) that are necessary to serve the website and protect it against abuse.

2. Payment data. Card and payment details are collected and processed exclusively by our payment provider, Stripe, on Stripe’s own secure checkout pages. This website never receives, sees, or stores your card details. Stripe acts as an independent controller for payment processing under its own privacy policy.

3. Why we process it. Order data is processed to perform the contract you enter into when purchasing (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Purchase records are retained to comply with legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). Technical data is processed in our legitimate interest of running a secure, functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. How long we keep it. Correspondence is kept no longer than is necessary to resolve your matter. Purchase records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. Technical logs are short-lived and rotate automatically.

5. Cookies and local storage. This website sets no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. The only cookies you will encounter are strictly necessary ones set by our infrastructure provider for security purposes. The site may use your browser’s local storage for basic functions; that information remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

6. Your rights. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]; requests are answered within the statutory time limit. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
