These terms govern the purchase and use of the digital book Before You Touch Your Salary and the use of this website. By completing a purchase, you accept these terms. For any question about them, contact [email protected].
1. The product. The product is access to a digital book, read online through a private reading room on this website. After successful payment, a personal access key is issued immediately on the confirmation page, and a payment receipt is emailed to you by our payment provider. The book is licensed for personal use; it is not sold for redistribution.
2. Price and payment. The price is displayed at checkout, in the currency stated there, inclusive of any applicable tax. Payment is processed by Stripe on its secure checkout pages; this website never receives or stores your payment details. The price displayed at the moment of checkout is the price you are charged. Introductory pricing, where offered, follows a fixed published schedule.
3. Promotional codes. If a promotional code is issued, it is single-use unless expressly stated otherwise, cannot be combined with other offers, and may carry an expiry date or be withdrawn before use. Codes are entered on the checkout page and the reduction is applied before payment.
4. Delivery. As a digital product, access is granted immediately after payment: your personal key is shown on the confirmation page and opens the book in your browser. If your key does not work or the book fails to open, contact us and we will put it right without charge.
5. Right of withdrawal. Under EU consumer law, digital content is exempt from the fourteen-day withdrawal right once delivery has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement. By purchasing, you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends when your access to the book begins. This does not affect your statutory rights concerning digital content that is defective or not as described, which remain fully intact.
6. Refunds. Beyond the statutory rights described above, refund requests are assessed individually and may be granted at our discretion. Genuine problems, such as a book that will not open or a duplicate charge, are always corrected. Write to the contact address with your receipt and a short description of the issue. Where a refund is granted, your access key is deactivated and your access to the book ends when the refund is issued.
7. Licence and intellectual property. Your purchase grants a personal, non-transferable licence to read the book through your own access key. Sharing your key, reselling your access, or attempting to copy the book or make it available to others is not permitted. The text of the book, its cover, and the contents of this website remain the intellectual property of the author.
8. No financial advice. The book is general educational material. It does not constitute personal financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and it makes no promise of any particular result. Financial decisions remain your own responsibility.
9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author and this website are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the book or the website. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
10. Applicable law and disputes. These terms and any purchase made under them are subject to applicable European Union consumer law; where the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence grants you stronger rights, those rights prevail. If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will make an honest effort to resolve it directly. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes. These terms may be revised; the version in force is always the one published on this page, with its date shown below. Changes do not affect purchases already completed.
